Past Productions
Since its first production in 1998 of Harvey, the Towne Players has
continued to receive praise for the shows that have been brought to life
on the stage. The group was nominated for "Best Community Theatre"
group for 2000 and 2001 by Spectator Magazine as well as by Robert's Reviews in 2003, and won the award from Robert's Reviews in 2004 and
2002! The production
of "Driving Miss Daisy" was named one of the top 10 theatrical
productions in the Triangle in 2000, and "The Last Train to Nibroc"
received the same honor in 2001 and 2003, as did the encore presentation of "Dearly
Departed" in 2002 and the production of Sylvia in 2004.
